Conference/Event

HP+ at AIDS2020

In 2020, the world looks very different than it did two years ago when researchers, activists, and others gathered in Amsterdam for the AIDS2018 Conference. Gripped by COVID-19, governments and donors are diverting health resources—both human and financial—to battle the pandemic. But, as these resources are redirected it is crucial for the global community to also continue the ongoing fight for access to other essential services, including HIV testing, care, and treatment.

This year, in light of COVID-19, the 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS2020) is going virtual. See the roadmap below for details on how you can join our online sessions. Also be sure to follow our conference coverage on Twitter and Facebook. We hope to see you online.

The availability of local data enables local organizations and governments to plan and take action to identify those living with HIV who are unaware of their status, initiate treatment, and reduce loss to follow-up and reduce viral load. Uncovering stories of how owning and using local evidence with local stakeholders can inform HIV services and programs, and ultimately improve the lives of people living with HIV, this session will touch on a variety of findings, tools, and observations emerging from various data activities, including community-led monitoring mechanisms.

Poster sessions will be available, at any time, in a pre-recorded format via the AIDS2020 Oral Abstract and Poster On-demand Channel.
