Between October 2017 and April 2020, HP+ Nigeria supported a four-pronged mandate in Nigeria to:

  • Unlock $58 million in domestic resources for health by improving the availability and quality of evidence to aid advocacy and policy reform

  • Reduce fragmentation of primary healthcare management systems by promoting compliance to the Primary Health Care Under One roof policy in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Abia, Ebonyi, and Osun states

  • Support the expansion of health insurance coverage in the FCT and Abia, Ebonyi, and Osun states

  • Ensure basic health services for Nigeria’s most vulnerable by supporting the FCT and Abia, Ebonyi, and Osun states to operationalize the Basic Health Care Provision Fund

Join us for a discussion on key lessons learned and the way forward in the journey to self-reliance for Nigeria. Also, please see our new governance brief featuring health reform stewardship at the national and state levels in Nigeria.
