Local Solutions to Improve Health: Strengthening Capacity for Sustainable Health Policy, Advocacy, Financing, and Governance
September 21, 2021
9:00 - 10:30 am EDT | 2:00 - 3:30 pm Nigeria | 4:00 - 5:30 pm Kenya
To support USAID’s goal to ensure partner countries are agents of their own growth and prosperity, HP+ takes a partnership approach to capacity strengthening that is responsive to local needs and solutions. Whether at national, subnational, or local levels, we work alongside local partners to identify policy, advocacy, financing, and governance gaps, gather the evidence, and implement solutions with a long-term view toward sustainability.
Capacity strengthening approaches, tailored to the diverse partners who play important roles in furthering policy implementation—national ministries, health departments, local governance bodies, private sector service providers, advocates, and citizen groups—must be multi-faceted and mutually reinforcing. This can take various shapes, from strengthening technology systems and their use, addressing organizational needs, training on new skills, or providing space for relationships to build and thrive among and across individuals, networks, and government agencies.
Join us for a webinar to learn more and hear from local leaders in Nigeria and Kenya who are driving sustainable changes toward better health outcomes.
