Fewer than 5 percent of Nigerians have health insurance and more than half of Nigerians live on less than two dollars a day. This, combined with high out-of-pocket health expenses, mean that most women, children, and their families are unable to access quality healthcare.
New reforms, aimed at strengthening the country’s primary health system and providing financial protections, are starting to change things.
Join us October 23 for a watch party of our short film, "Why Policy Matters: Reforms Lead to a Healthy Outlook for Nigerians," followed by a question and answer session with Dr. Frances Ilika, HP+ Nigeria's Country Director; Dr. Olugbenga O. Bejide, Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria; and Omole Babatunde, Garnet Youth Development Foundation.
