COVID-19 Vaccines: Needs, Lessons Learned and Recommendations for Effective Rollout

A year into the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus has infected more than 110 million people around the world and about 2.6 million deaths have been reported. While there is still high mortality and morbidity caused by the virus in various places, the situation is expected to change with the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine. Most of the vaccines identified and administered so far have reduced severe infection, hospital admissions, and even deaths.

Under an accelerated effort, developing countries will be supported by the COVAX mechanism to immunize 20 percent of the population in 2021. The target group, scale, and intensity of this immunization campaign is significantly different than those handled by health and immunization ministries in the past. This webinar brings together experts from several countries to share best practices, lessons learned, and tools to help with rolling out COVID-19 vaccination programs in low-resource countries.

Join us to strengthen efforts to immunize against SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Note: This webinar will be conducted in Spanish
