Making Health Financing Deliver on Its Promise: What Have We Learned?
Moderator: David Khaoya
Panelists: Eduardo Gonzalez-Pier, Frances Ilika, Robert Kolesar, and Stephen Muchiri
Strained government budgets and reductions in external funding mean that developing countries must find new and innovative ways to finance their health systems and cover healthcare costs. Join HP+ country directors for an overview of HP+ health financing work and the project's approach to supporting governments to raise revenue, pool funds, and purchase services. This session, which will also feature a Q&A, will showcase cross-cutting themes and elements of policy, advocacy, and governance as they relate to future locally led health financing policy work. It will also demonstrate how health financing can be further integrated across the program areas of family planning and reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV, tuberculosis, and COVID-19.
