Herminia Reyes
Director, HEP+ Guatemala
Herminia Reyes directs the Health and Education Policy Plus program in Guatemala. She has more than 35 years of experience working in social programs, specifically related to education and health, and began her career teaching in a rural elementary school. For 29 years, Herminia held various positions at several local and national government institutions, becoming director of the Ministry of Education’s Office of Quality. Since 2008, she has worked for international development organizations and has managed several USAID projects in Guatemala. Herminia has expertise in project leadership, design, and implementation; financial administration; policy investment and monitoring; political dialogue and advocacy; and capacity development and team building. In 2016, Herminia was awarded the National Order Francisco Marroquín by President Jimmy Morales, the highest honor for educators in the country.
