What We Do
HP+ works with the government, development partners, and civil society to tackle these challenges. Our integrated approach involves stakeholders from national, regional, and district governments, as well as civil society and community groups. We help these partners institute policies, strategies, and systems that expand access to health services and commodities, thus improving the health of the Malagasy people.
HP+ works in partnership with USAID/Madagascar, the government of Madagascar, and its partners to:
- Strengthen Malagasy capacity to develop, implement, and monitor health policies and strategies designed to improve equity and sustainability of health services, supplies, and information, particularly in connection with family planning and community health
- Support the establishment of sustainable financing mechanisms to bolster the development and implementation of health policies and services
- Foster a supportive legal and regulatory environment to ensure voluntary, equitable, and rights-based health programs
