This strategic and operational plan was developed by the Ministry of Health as a roadmap to accelerate family planning efforts. The plan aims to increase the modern contraceptive prevalence rate from 12.52% in 2019 to 18.52% in 2023 in order to help control population growth and improve maternal and child health. The plan is designed to strengthen government efforts to achieve the demographic dividend as well as broader economic and social development goals of the country. Developed with technical and financial support of partners, including USAID and HP+, this plan articulates the Government of Guinea’s vision and strategic objectives, and informs budget planning necessary to achieve objectives.
