Supporting the Launch of Kenya’s Free Maternity Care Programme

Two years after implementing its Free Maternity Care Programme, over 500,000 women have been enabled to access maternity services in Kenya, which may be contributing to a reduction in maternal mortality in the country. This brief describes how HP+ supported the government to prepare for implementation of the policy and assisted with expansion of a redesigned program.
