Recognizing the importance of family planning as a means of boosting economic growth and improving the health and well-being of future generations, the Government of Sierra Leone developed its first Family Planning Costed Implementation Plan with support from HP+. The plan details the necessary program activities and costs associated with achieving national goals, such as increasing the modern contraceptive prevalence rate among all women of reproductive age. The plan provides clear program-level information on the resources needed, domestically and from partners, to achieve goals and guides family planning programming for the government (across all sectors), development partners, and implementing partners.
