HP+ conducted an analysis to help build a sustainable, long-term response to tuberculosis in El Salvador, which has seen increasing incidence of tuberculosis among persons deprived of liberty. HP+ analyzed the country’s tuberculosis response through six lenses focusing on epidemiological, financial, political, structural, programmatic, and human rights issues. For each of the six tenets, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are identified. The analysis was then used to develop a sustainability roadmap, which provides next steps for multisectoral action.
