This facilitator’s guide (updated in 2021) and accompanying slides are designed to train faith leaders in Malawi to effectively communicate with men and boys about HIV using “messages of hope.” These positive messages provide men and boys with accurate information about HIV and help them understand that they can live long, healthy lives regardless of their HIV status. Reaching men and boys with messages of hope can encourage them to seek HIV testing and, if HIV positive, to start and stay on treatment.
