Mapping the Health Budgeting Process in Togo and Identifying Opportunities for Civil Society to Advocate for HIV Program Funding

In Togo, financial resource needs for the HIV program are growing while the country remains heavily dependent on donors to finance the program. Increased domestic resources for HIV will be required to ensure the sustainability of the HIV program. This can be achieved through budget advocacy during the central budgeting process. This brief describes the health budgeting process in Togo and identifies the most important advocacy opportunities during this process for civil society organizations to advocate for increased funding for the HIV program.
