The Legal, Regulatory, and Investment Environment Underpinning the Commercial Family Planning Commodity Market in India

Considering the increasing scope and importance of the private sector in procurement and distribution of family planning commodities in India, HP+ analyzed the legal, regulatory, taxation, and investment environment to identify barriers that may inhibit scale or innovation. The analysis provides an overview of policies related to the commercial procurement, distribution, and sale of family planning commodities in India as well as stakeholder perspectives. The information presented in the report and accompanying presentation can inform future conversations about opportunities to use blended finance (donor grant financing combined with private capital) to catalyze increased access to family planning products through the commercial sector in India. View our webinar on the topic presented November 30, 2021.
