Case Study: HEP+ Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Guatemala

This case study describes support provided by HEP+ to government, healthcare, and civil society partners in Guatemala to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. These efforts included territorial containment, opening temporary isolation centers and respiratory care centers, capacity development for healthcare workers and civil society members, and taking a contextualized, localized approach to vaccination rollout. Included are lessons learned from two years of fighting the pandemic, which the project will carry forward in 2022 and into the future.
