Sustainable Financing Initiative, Asia Region: Pooled Procurement for HIV Commodities, Landscape Assessment and Implementation Blueprint

HP+ conducted an assessment of procurement processes in 13 PEPFAR-supported Asian countries to determine the potential of a pooled procurement mechanism to reduce the high cost of antiretroviral drugs in the region. The landscape assessment presents results from a literature review, interviews, and secondary data to understand ARV procurement and financing issues in the region and presents recommendations for improving procurement practices. A companion blueprint outlines steps to begin to initiate an informed buying network in the region.
