Guatemala is one of the main migratory corridors in Latin America. The population of migrants that travel to, through, and from the country face hardships that make them vulnerable to a wide array of health-threatening situations. This brief summarizes findings from a study in the Western Highlands of Guatemala to validate assumptions about migrant health concerns, understand system capacity to address such concerns, and identify opportunities to improve health services for the migrant population.
