Principles for Co-financing of Family Planning Commodities

This report provides analytic support on how USAID’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health might move forward with developing a co-financing approach that supports a strategic transition to domestic government financing of family planning programs. The Gavi immunization co-financing model and UNFPA Supplies Partnership’s proposed approach to domestic financing of reproductive health and family planning commodities were analyzed to inform the family planning co-financing guidelines presented in the document.
