County-Level Enabling Environment for Family Planning in Kenya: A Workshop Facilitator’s Guide

HP+ developed this guide to enable facilitators to lead a workshop on the enabling environment for family planning at the county level in Kenya. The guide includes speaker notes, a discussion packet for workshop participants, and three presentations that accompany the workshop’s three modules. It follows a clear agenda to ensure facilitators achieve all five workshop objectives to (1) assess the county enabling environment through rapid assessments; (2) identify the key elements within the family planning enabling environment; (3) discuss the impact of a strong enabling environment for family planning programming; (4) explore strategies to facilitate a stronger enabling environment in a specific county; and (5) develop an action plan to strengthen the enabling environment. The guide was developed for the Kenyan context but can be adapted to other contexts. The presentations are available as a compiled PDF and as a zip file of three adaptable PowerPoint files.
