The Positive Health, Dignity, and Prevention (PHDP) curriculum has recently been revised to better reflect the needs of people living with HIV and key populations. The 2017 revision, a collaborative effort by HP+ and people living with HIV and key populations in Jamaica, includes 17 modules covering a range of topics from HIV and AIDS basics, treatment literacy, resilient leadership, and disclosure. Also new in 2017 is the adaptation of specific modules to compliment in-service trainings for health facility staff. Increasing peoples’ self-management capacity, the PHDP complements traditional patient education and has become a key aspect of Jamaica’s national HIV response towards achieving their goals. The webinar discussed the PHDP training curriculum, how it was developed, how it’s being used in Jamaica, and how it could be used and adapted for different stakeholders and country contexts, populations, and epidemic types.
