Health Policy Plus: Mozambique

From 2015 to 2022, HP+ has worked with the government of Mozambique to address pressing health sector challenges. With external aid for health expected to plateau, the country needed to optimize existing resources and identify alternative financing. Toward these aims, HP+ helped strengthen government capacity for data-driven decision making for programs and policies to improve HIV outcomes and reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. HP+ also assisted with enacting major reforms in public financial management and information systems, improving stewardship of resources for health.
